1935 - 2016

Kenneth “Kenny” Elwood Hall passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on May 3, 2016 in Grove City, Ohio at the age of 81.

Kenny is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Shirley June Hall; daughter, Candy Sue (Donald) Kennedy of Cardington, Ohio; son, Brian Lee (Joy) Hall of Grove City, Ohio; sister, Marjorie Carr of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Alan Hall of Tuppers Plains, Ohio; grandchildren Donetta and Elwood Kennedy, and cherished great-grandchildren, Tessa and Hayden Eastep.

He was born on February 12, 1935 in Pike County, Kentucky to Lee and Vada Hall.

He was formerly employed by Lustro Ware, and retired from B&B Industries.

Kenny was a devoted husband, a loving father, a mentor and friend to countless family members and friends. Many attest that he was a steadfast, soft-spoken man with strong character. Everyone he met trusted him because he listened more than he spoke. He had a positive attitude no matter the circumstances, and could put anyone at ease just by being there.

He shared his love of the American landscape by visiting many of the National Parks with his family, traveling thousands of miles on the road to see everything in between. Kenny also attended many classic car shows, and had a fondness for Pontiac GTOs.

Calling hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123) on Thursday, May 5, 2016, 5:00-8:00 PM. The service will be at Sunset Cemetery (6959 W. Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio 43119) in the mausoleum on Friday, May 6, 2016, 10:00 AM. Minister Keith E. Keller will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kenny’s life.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Kenny’s name to Mt. Carmel Hospice or the National Park Service.
