Edith is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, Paul E. Hastings Sr.; and her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Paul Hastings and Jim (Connie) Hastings; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Tolliver; and many other loving family members and friends.
Edith was a great mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, country music, John Wayne movies, and was an avid Buckeye fan. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria, OH.
