Mildred Elizabeth Wisecarver, 96, born August 5, 1919, passed away Monday, July 3, 2016 at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, Dublin, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents Harvey W. and Gustava Jones, husband Bernard Bruce Wisecarver, brothers Robert, Kenneth, Harvey Jr. and James Jones, son-in-law Tom Lindblom and long time friend Betty Helmke. Survived by children, Bruce (Sally) Wisecarver, Connie Lindblom, Jeffrey (Diane) Wisecarver, Beverly Brown, sister Mary Rodock, grandchildren, Trisha (Tim) Gemberling, Angela (Robert) Williams, R. Brent (Lauren) Wisecarver, Corporal Jeremy Wisecarver USMC, great grand children, Alison Gemberling, Rachel Gemberling, Miranda Gemberling, Elise Williams and Grace Wisecarver. Mildred was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved in her early years to Coshocton, Ohio. After graduating from Coshocton High School she worked at Pretty Products in Coshocton, Ohio and after her marriage in September 1946 worked for the Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member for many years of the American Cancer Society raising money for cancer research. Mildred was very active in the International Order of Jobs Daughters serving as Bethel Guardian of Bethel #1 and Secretary of Bethel #28 at Linden Masonic Lodge #637, and served thirty years as Grand Secretary for the State of Ohio, 1976 through 2006. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in her memory can be made to the Mildred E. Wisecarver, Scholarship Fund, International Order of Jobs Daughters. Make checks payable to Grand Guardian Council, and mail to Mary Walters, 672 E. Royal Forest Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43214.
