Ron Lucas, Sr., age 67 passed away at home on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born in Boyd County, KY on May 25, 1949 to the late Delmar and Lona Lucas.

He was married to the love of his life "Dottie" for 41 years. He loved to hunt and train his hunting dogs. Ron truly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a long time member of Southwest Freewill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; siblings, Darrel, Clyde and Joyce. He is survived by his children, Ronnie, Jr. (Traci) Lucas, Mike Lucas and Ashley Beverly; grandchildren, Alec, Kaelyn, Abby and Lauren; great grandson, Grayson; siblings, Larry, Don, Arnita, Mary and Erma.

The family would like to thank all of the family, friends and members of Southwest Freewill Baptist Church that helped during this time. Especially, Larry, Tina, Fred and Evelyn.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, S.W., 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Southwest Freewill Baptist Church, 1542 Greenleaf Rd., Columbus, OH 43223. Internment to follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron's memory may be made to Southwest Freewill Baptist Church.
