Rose T. DeAngelis, 87

Mrs. Rose Theresa DeAngelis, age 87 of Westerville, Ohio, has joined her husband of 60 years in eternal life on August 16th, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Antoinette DeVivo born March 6th 1929.
Rose attended grammar school in Rural Valley, PA before moving to Akron, Ohio where she graduated from the University of Akron in 1947. She married Dr. Guy A. DeAngelis in September 1945. In 1992, Rose retired from a business and accounting position after 19 years of service from the State of Ohio Corrections Department Chillicothe, Ohio. Rose was an active member in the community having many interests with nonprofit organizations. She was a co-trustee of the Dr. Guy A. DeAngelis Foundation having educational awareness in the development and research of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was a member of the Chillicothe Country Club and attended St. Johns Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio.
Rose is survived by her son, Dr. Guy G. DeAngelis, her daughter-in-law, Dr. Radha B. Nadkarni and her three nieces Joyce (Paul) Miller, Wilma (Daniel) Pursley and Jeanee (Richard) Przybylinski, sisters Jen Luchini and Gee Wise.
The DeAngelis Family requested a private funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Columbus, Ohio, followed by an entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for and loved Rose during her recent illness.
Memorials may be given to a humane society of their choosing.
