Goldie Chenoweth, 90, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Westerville, OH. She was born on July 10, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA to Mr. and Mrs. Badogiannis, who were respected in New York City's Greek Community.

Goldie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alex Badogiannis; sisters, Athena LaPenna, Catherine Badoyannis and Mary Tsavlis; and ex husband, Christian Wallace Chenoweth, who was the former Executive Editor for Field Newspaper Syndicate and a WWII Veteran.

She is survived by daughter, Dellzell Chenoweth; sons, Frank Chance Chenoweth and John Pagan Chenoweth; and many friends at Spring Road Church of Christ.

Goldie was an avid reader and writer of poetry and had poetry published in Hawaii Review. She has a BA in English Literature from Hunter College, did graduate work at Columbia University under Lionel Trilling and studied creative writing at the New School for Social Research in New York City along side James Baldwin and Paul Goodman.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 1:00pm at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6330 S. Hempstead Rd. Westerville, OH 43081. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct. Hilliard, OH 43026 in Goldie's honor.
