Charles "Dick" Pruden is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Pruden.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Catherine Pruden; children, Craig (Barbara) Pruden and Tamara "Tammy" (Harold) Segieth; grandchildren, Justin (Jena) Pruden, Sarah (Johnny) Lacy, Corey Segieth and Dylan Segieth; great-grandchild, Kayden Lacy and will be missed by all loving family members and friends.
Charles was a Navy Veteran in the Korean War Conflict. He was a long time employee of Toledo Scale until his retirement in 1992. Charles was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and he instilled the love of the outdoors in his family. He was an avid card player and enjoyed playing many games of poker and euchre with friends and family. He was a great fan of baseball and a loyal Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendship Village Staff Scholarship, (checks payable to Friendship Village Columbus), 5800 Forest Hills Blvd. Columbus, OH 43231.
