Dent V. Flemmings
1929 - 2017

Dent V. Flemmings, 87, of Galena, Ohio passed away peacefully with his daughter, Lora and son-in-law, Joe by his side on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He was born on May 9, 1929 in Ironton to Dent and Phrona Flemmings. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; brothers, James, Jack; sisters, Gertrude, Margaret, Kitty and Norma and stepson, Rick Neill.

Dent is survived by his children, Jack Flemmings, Dent (Jana) Flemmings, Lora (Joe) Ciotola, Monte (Marty) Flemmings, Grant Flemmings, Ron (Tina) Stayer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many other family members, friends and neighbors who will feel his loss deeply especially his grandson, Michael Pfaff.

Dent was in the Army as a peacekeeper in Germany following WWII. When he came back to the States, he worked forty plus years for B and B Box company. He loved to golf, the Buckeyes. He loved to joke with people and make them laugh. He was a great singer. He enjoyed singing "You are my Sunshine" to the people he loved. Anyone who met Dent loved him.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Vitas Healthcare especially Jamie and Ali for all of their care and kindness during this difficult time.
