VAN HOUTEN HARTZELL

Rose Van Houten Hartzell, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 after a long illness. She was born January 22, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio. Previous residence in Palm Springs, California and Naples, Florida.

She retired as a CPA. Attended South High School. Member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Grove City, Ohio.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Hartzell and her previous husband, Richard Van Houten; parents, Harry and Pearl Way; brother, Donnie Way; sisters, Beverly and Judy Way.

She is survived by her children, Shellie (JC) Zimmerman, Sean Van Houten, Stacey Hartzell, Sarah Hartzell; step children, Matt (Denise) Hartzell and Kimberly (Chester) Steele; grandchildren, Justice Eberline, Jasmine Eberline, Jordyn Eberline, Victoria Van Houten and Maxwell Van Houten, Jessica Hartzell and Nathan Zimmerman; great-grandchildren, Zaiden Schoolcraft, Masen Simms, Julian Schoolcraft, Dominic Hartzell and Shawn Hartzell; sister, Virginia Green; brothers, Raymond (Bev) Way, Jake Way and Robert (Sue) Way and many other loving family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 4-7pm, Monday, February 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, S.W., 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, OH, 43123. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose's memory may be made to St. Matthews House, 2001 Airport Rd., S., Naples, Fl. 34112.
