Mary Monaco, 93, of Columbus, passed away peacefully in the arms of her grandson Mickey on Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Ann's.

She was born September 7, 1923 in Albany, New York, daughter of the late John and Grace Passero Corrado.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Monaco; daughter, Linda Kiser; brothers, Ralph, Charlie and Ernie; sisters, Pauline, Nancy and Dorothy.

She is survived by her daughters, Iva Nimbs and Bev (Louie) Bowman; son, Stanley (Karen) Monaco Jr.; sister, Barbara Marietti; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Corrado; special niece, Sharon (Larry) Kendall; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews her precious fur babies BiBo and Tone.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101 or the Alzheimer’s Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary’s special grandson and caregiver Michael “Mickey” McGinley, Dr. Nami Cho and staff, Villa Angela PT/OT staff and the entire Bianconie family for accepting her as their own.
