Martha Baird Strahan passed away Sunday, March 19. Martha was the daughter of James and Nellie Westfall Baird. She was born in Darke County, Ohio in 1926. She was pre-deceased by her daughters Shela and Jane, her mother and father, sisters Mary Snapp and Dorothy Norris, brothers Herbert Baird and Herald Baird.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John Strahan, son, David (Sandie) of Waynesville, NC, daughter Sue Strahan of West Carrollton, Ohio, granddaughter, Cori Stevens, grandsons, Andrew (Katherine), Alex, Jason (Holly) Stevens, Jon Stevens (Julie) and three great grandchildren, John Stevens, Amelia Stevens and Emeric Stevens.

Martha graduated from Arcanum High School (1943). She attended Miami University and the University of Dayton.

She worked as a secretary, Elementary Librarian (West Carrollton, Ohio) and Media Clerk (Worthington City Schools). She was active in her church, Epworth UMC and the Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Worthington Christian Village Benevolence Fund, 165 Highbluffs Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43235.

A Memorial Service will be held at Worthington Christian Village at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2017 with a graveside service at Abbottsville Cemetery on Monday, April 3 at 11:30.
