Gary Dean Hamilton, born on November 1, 1940 in New Boston, Ohio. Died on March 23, 2017, at 8:07 p.m.

Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Hazel (Radabaugh) Hamilton; brother, Dr. H. Roger Hamilton.

Survived by wife of 54 years, Martha (Aleshire) Hamilton; daughter, Beth (Jim) Spragg; son, Clayton Hamilton of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Judith Hamilton of Clinton, MS and good friends, Gary and Carole Thornton of 57 years. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Retired from Lazarus with 28 years and retired from Columbus Division of Police with 19 years. He attended Columbus Business Law School. Member and post office of Lazarus 20 Year Club, 3rd Degree member Knights of Columbus #2898 Council. Gary is a US Army veteran and served his active duty assigned to the 252nd Signal Co., Panama Canal Zone. He is a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and most of all his family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, where funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m.

Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
