He loved his God, he loved his family and friends, and he really loved his Golf.
He is preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa and Teresa; siblings, Overton, Jr., Ellene, Helen and Gary. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carolyn; children, Julie (Tony) Battiste, Christine (Curt) Flowers, Tammy (Greg) Revelez, Wes (Jason) Kean and Shelley Byers; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 and also from 10 to 11am, Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Gahanna Freewill Baptist Church, 3868 N. Stygler Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where the funeral service will be held following at 11:00am. Pastor Curtis Booth officiating. Interment at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
