Peter Griffin Taylor, 69, of Columbus, Ohio and Foley, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1947 in Westfield, MA to Porter and Jean Taylor.

Surviving family includes wife, Marilyn "the love of his life", sister, Wanda (David W.) Pulaski of Granville, MA/Rotonda West, FL; nephew David A. (Faith) Pulaski, Gardner, MA; mother-in-law, Anna M. Thomas, Rogersville, TN; sister-in-law, Carol (Dean) Cradic, Surgoinsville, TN; brother-in-law, Daniel R. Thomas, Surgoinsville, TN; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Special friends, Rosanne & Les Takacs, Foley, AL; Mary & Russ Martin, Grove City, OH; Barbara & Don Chandler, Foley, AL; life-long friends, Ted & Tembra Lecrenski, Lexington, KY.

He graduated in 1969 from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Political Science. He retired in 2000 having worked in the home improvement industry in Groton, CT and Columbus, OH.


He was passionate about traveling with Marilyn, golfing and genealogy.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with a Celebration of Life to follow. Burial will be at a later date in Westfield, MA.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Soldiers & Sailors Home, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 (in memory of Porter E. Taylor), the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
