Lawrence N. "Bing" Reeves, 83, died Monday, July 17th. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, where he lived most of his life. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, JoAnn, and three children, Debby (Mark) Sisson, Jeff (Leah) Reeves and Mark (Shelley) Reeves; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Reeves and sister, Louan Hartley.

Bing graduated from West High School in 1951, after which he served in the Navy, and then went on to a career with the Columbus Dispatch, from where he retired in 1996.

An avid golfer and bowler, far greater was his love for his family and friends, including a special lifelong friend, John Brown. A committed Christian and member of Buckeye Christian Church, his faith grew as the years went by. A longtime volunteer with Charity Newsies and Fore Hope, he was a compassionate and caring man, who will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 on Monday, July 24th at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Stan Kirtlan officiating.
