Donna Jean Smith age, 77 was born May 12, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio. Donna went home to be with the Lord in comfort and peace on July 19, 2017, surrounded by her loving husband and family at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Donna was preceded in peace by her parents, James E. and Helen E. Smith; her beloved grandson, James "JJ" Smith; sister Garnett (Bill) Kimbler, and her son-in-law, James "Jamie" Shoaf.

Donna was a dedicated wife, mother and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles E. Smith, Sr. and their dog, Scotty. Her sons, Jim (Anna) Richcreek, Charles (Brenda) Smith, Jr., Jeff (Diane) Smith, Jim (Rom) Smith, John (Miki) Smith and Mark (Lori) Smith; daughters, Sandy Shoaf, Kimberly Eichenlaub and Connie Miles; brother, Earl (Faith) Smith; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and special friend Margie Smith.

The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, N.E., 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where the funeral service will be held following at 12pm. Interment at Union Cemetery.
