1938 - 2017

Richard "Dick" Gibson, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born on July 27, 1938 in Bellaire, OH.

Richard worked for the Madison Township Police Department and the Canal Winchester Police Department, as well as being retired from Crane Plastics after 32 years of service and Kroger after 14 years.

He is a distinguished veteran of the US Army, serving 8 years.

Surviving family includes wife of 42 years, 7 months, 8 hours, Barbara Gibson; sons, Timothy (Jesscia) Gibson, Christopher (Christine) Gibson and David (Tina) Gibson; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kylee, Noah, Cooper Gibson, Bradley Johnson and Autumn Johnson; sisters, Catherine Vance and Susan (Jim) Bender; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Gary and Josephine Gibson; daughter, Susan; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 5225 Refugee Rd, Columbus, OH 43232.

Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
