She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John "Jack" Stanley; beloved son-in-law, Gerry Green; parents, Charles and Mary Houston; sisters, Mary Ann Brown, Josephine Seiter, Catherine "Pud" Wihl; and brother, Bob Houston.
Charlene is survived by daughters, Dana Wheeler, DeNeen (Jason) Greenwald, Jackie Green, and Leslie (Larry) Blackwell; grandchildren, Nikki, Hailey, Kendyl, Lance, Nick, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Elijah; and sister, Betty Jane Holland.
Charlene graduated from Sacred Heart HS, retired from Pediatric Associates where she met her long time friend, Sandy Boyle. She loved going to the casino, her vacations to Holden Beach, and her beloved cat, Myrtle.
Visitation Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 893 Hamlet St., Columbus, OH 43201. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlene's memory to Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, OH 43026-8990.
