1942 - 2018

James Kenneth Roberts, 75, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 7, 2018. James was born October 3, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI to John W. and Janis G. (Reichardt) Roberts. He has been a resident of Columbus since 1974. James retired from J.C. Penney quality control, also employed by Harry and David. He held leadership positions within his church and was an active choir member. James had over 50 years of service in Boy Scouts of America, was a Scout Master and served in various leadership positions in Central Ohio. He was involved in Kairos Prison Ministry of Ohio. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Columbus Blue Jackets fan. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Jacqueline (Kells) Roberts; children Gregory Steven, Roberta Lynn (Barrett) Greenawald, ScottAllen (Melanie); grandchildren Courtney, Jessica, Addison, Zachery; great-grandchildren Emma, Ellie, Jocelynn, Julian; brothers Thomas (Cathy), Richard (Kathy), Billy and Aunt Judy (Jim) Davis. James was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 1:30pm to 2:00pm at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church 1636 Graham Rd. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.

Celebration of Life services will follow at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America or Kairos Prison Ministry of Ohio
