Virginia Akers, 92, passed away on February 11, 2018. She was born on November 5, 1925.

She was retired from the Ohio Department of Education.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Akers, parents, Asa LeMay and Edna Giffin and son-in-law, Dan Harris. Surviving family includes children, Sherri (Daniel) Lantz, Linda Harris, grandchildren, Hunter Akers and Danny Harris.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm, Friday, February 16, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a funeral service will begin at 12pm.

Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
