He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Richard was free-spirited, very giving, one of a kind, and a mentor to many.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richard Underwood, Sr. and Ruby Underwood; sons, Duane, Richard III, Ronald, and David Underwood; grandson, Ian Underwood; brothers, Chet, Danny, and Charlie Underwood; sisters, Virginia Mathas, Margaret Perry, and Joan McGhee.
Surviving family includes wife, Wanda Underwood; son, Scott (Jucara) Underwood; stepsons, Mike (Pam) and Rodney Forsythe; stepdaughters, Tina (Clinton) Marcum, Rhonda Forsythe, and Dawn (Terence) Byrd; daughter-in-law, Tracie Underwood; sisters, Corbin Lee (Paul) Blankenship and Kathy (Robert) Gravier; brothers, Floyd (Alice) and Karl (Jerie) Underwood; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous special friends.
Visitation Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 5-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
