Jim D. Gibson, 84, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Jim was born on July 4, 1933 in Mansfield, OH to Curtis and Edna (Yoakam) Gibson .
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Gibson.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Gibson; children, Jennifer (Keith) Numbers, Michael (Roger) Gibson, Amy (Dean) Shetler, Scott (Janet) Gibson and Donna (Randy) Metzner; grandchildren, Sarah, Brandyn, Kaitlyn, Zach, Mitchell, Hailey, Shelby, David, Tim and Kara; 11 great-grandchildren and brother, Richard Gibson.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a huge Ohio State fan. Jim volunteered for over 35 years at The Memorial Tournament serving as a Marshall. He enjoyed playing golf and made his first hole-in-one at the age of 80. Jim loved being a husband, father and grandfather.
A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at a later date.
