Eric A. Spahr passed peacefully in his sleep on April 21, 2018. He was a loving father, friend and a good man.
He is survived by his grandchildren who adored him; Alexis, Landon, Nathan, Cole, Ella and Julie; children with whom he broke bread every week; Erin (Jason), Jesse (Brien) and son, Riley; former wife and best friend, Helen; sisters, Rebecca (John) and Marty; brother, Kevin (Amy); Licy, a young lady in Honduras that Eric sponsored thru CCF; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Eric is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Betty Spahr; brother, Donald and sister, Bonnie.
Eric was devoted to his children and grandchildren, wrote journals on many topics, an aficionado of pens, a homesteader at heart and a "Distinguished Gentleman”. Eric left his family with the blueprints for quality time together, the art of thrift store deals and a long list of recipes that made family dinner nights treasured memories for all who came.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Eric's life on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 3PM - 6PM at 816 Kevin Drive, Columbus, OH 43224.
