In Memory Of
Lloyd James Scott
1969 - 2018

Lloyd James Scott 48, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at The Laurels of Gahanna Rehabilitation Center in Gahanna, OH. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Scott, his stepfather, Theodore A. Walters, and his grandfather, Gabe Spaulding. He is survived by his mother Judy L. Walters; his children, Christopher Scott and Alison Meade; his sisters, Thelma Joy May and Catherine A. Sparks; his grandmother, Thelma Spaulding; and many other loved ones and friends.

Lloyd was born on October 4th, 1969 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH. He continued to live in and around Columbus most of his life to be close to his family and friends. He graduated from New Albany High School where he excelled in Art and Science, and enjoyed Basketball. After high school, Lloyd continued to use his artistic abilities in pursuit of the Culinary Arts. He became a cook and worked in many restaurants in Columbus with hopes of one day becoming a Chef.

Two of the most important things in Lloyd’s life were his Faith and his Family. He was baptized early in life at Alum Creek and although he struggled with addiction and illness, he never stopped believing in God’s Love and Salvation. Lloyd was blessed in life with his son, Christopher and later on, his daughter, Alison. Although he was not always able to share his life with his children, he never stopped loving or thinking of them. As well as his children, Lloyd was blessed with many family members and loved ones who have supported and prayed for him throughout the years, including an Unconditional Loving Mother.

Although Lloyd’s life on earth ended too soon, we take comfort in knowing he is in a better place free of pain and struggles. His faith in God inspires us to know we will see him again someday!
