1924 - 2010

COLLIER
Evelyn Louise Collier, Columbus, OH, was born September 13, 1924, in Firebrick Kentucky. She peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2010, at The Tuscany Gardens, surrounded by loved ones. Evelyn was a very special and amazing woman, who will be greatly missed by all. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Joe Blair; husband, Thurman Leslie Collier; daughter, Faye Bartley; grandsons, Michael and Jeffery Jay Collier; sister, Beulah Fredrick; brother-in-law, Harvey Sexton. Survivors include her sisters, Pearl Sexton and Irene (Richard) Stackpole; brothers, Relo Fredrick and Melvin (Sylvia) Blair; children, Norman Collier, Barb (Jacob) Terry, Thurman Jay (MaryAnn) Collier, Roger Bartley, Timmy Collier; grandchildren, Teresa, Donald, John, Little Norman, Martin (Tabatha), Lisa (Rob), Tammy (John), Carol (Dave), Jason, Heather, Shelly, Jamie, Rickey, Roger Jr., Chad (Jennifer), Richard (Jodi), Amanda, Christopher, Amy Jo, Dustin; nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10 & Thursday, March 11, 2010, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus , OH with Funeral Service on Friday, March 12, 2010, 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior. In addition, a Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 12, 2010, 3:00 PM at Miller Run United Methodist Church, Lucasville, OH. The family would like to thank The Tuscany Gardens Staff and Odyssey Hospice for all their love and support throughout this journey.
