Maxine A. Phillips, 77, of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012.

Maxine was born in Johnstown, OH on July 19, 1934, to the late Charles and Velma (Graham) Partlow and is also preceded in death by daughter, Cathy Combs and sons, David and Charles Combs. Survivors include her husband, Don Phillips; daughters, Joy (Rick) Dailey and Melanie (Rick) Adams; son, Larry (Carol) Combs; sister, Barbara Parks; grandchildren; Kurt (Heather) Miller, Veronica (Sherry) Miller, Chelsea (Drew) Nowlin, Christopher Pifer, Carrie (Bryan) Branson, Brian (Krista) Combs; 10 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons; nieces, nephew, cousins and many friends.

Maxine was a very loving, compassionate and caring person. She loved the OSU Buckeyes and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012, 11:00 AM at Greenhill Cemetery, 7621 Johnstown-Alexander Road, Johnstown, OH 43031. Pastor Kevin Ashbrook will officiate.
