Irene (Cantrell) Smith, 67, passed away August 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Della Cantrell; husband, John Joseph Smith; son, John “Johnny” Joseph Smith Jr.; and daughters, Tina and Julie Smith.

Irene is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Sonya), Daniel (Tonya) and Brian Smith; daughters, Kathy Cupchic, Kim (Steve) Miller and Amanda Smith; brothers, John (Pauline) and Albert (Peewee) Cantrell; sisters, Myrtle Stacy, Buela Longhorn and Connie Salniki; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Irene was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spoiling her family with her great cooking. As the backbone of her family, she will be dearly missed.

Visitation Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Friday, August 10, 2012 at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, OH.
