Lois Jackson Gordon was born in Springfield, OH on February 3, 1932. She went peacefully home to our Heavenly Father on December 30, 2015. Preceded in death by her parents Wallace Webb Jackson and Catherine Edmondson, husband Rev. Charles R. Gordon, brother Wallace (Jackie) Jackson. She is survived by her daughters Joan and Catherine Gordon, sister Joan Stanley, and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was a graduate of Fisk University and received her Master's Degree in music from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. She started the Kenner Kids Foundation which granted scholarships for children interested in developing their musical skills at the University of Cincinnati.
Lois was a long time member and organist at Allen Temple AME Church in Cincinnati, OH. She moved to Columbus, OH in 2007.
A private memorial service will be held in Chevy Chase, MD on February 13, 2016.
