In Memory Of
Marlene Ann Miller
1931 - 2017
She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1960 where she raised her three children but never left behind her love for Schuler's whole wheat donuts. Marlene loved to travel and was able to do so through her career with Quick Air Freight. In her retirement she helped sweeten the lives of others working at Anthony Thomas Candy Company. She was an avid Elvis fan and rarely missed a performance by her favorite "Elvis" Mike Albert when he was in town. She was always the first on the dance floor, especially when The Alexander Band played Kansas City.
She was devoted member over the years of the Worthington Loyal Order of Moose, Chapter 1427 where she met and married her husband Robert "Bob". They honeymooned and celebrated several anniversaries at Cedar Point. But most precious to Marlene was her family. She is survived by her husband of four years Robert Miller of Columbus; her eldest son, Kimm Burcham; daughter, Teresa Burcham and youngest son, James (Kristy) Burcham, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Kitt Burcham, Alexis Burcham, Jack Burcham, Thomas Burcham, Wat Cecil, Anna Cecil, Zowie (Kristin) Cecil, Sierra (Nathan) Poland, Marissa Burcham; and four great grandchildren, Iris, Zoah, Sophia "Poe" and Liam.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2-5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, N.E., 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where the funeral will be held at 10:00am, Monday, June 26, 2017 with the burial at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Reception to follow at VFW Post 9473, 1420 Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, OH.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) and Hospice Services at Methodist Elder Care, 124 Dorchester Square #200, Westerville, OH 43081.
