Lana S. Dixon, age 64, of Columbus passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Columbus.

Lana was born in Big Springs, TX on March 17, 1953 to Nancy (Griffin) McKeehan and Cortez Thompson. Lana graduated from Breckenridge High School. Lana met Kerry in Texas and relocated to Columbus, Ohio. They spent many years living in Marengo, Ohio. Lana enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends and hosted annual gatherings open to all. She always cared for others and has helped many family and family friends during difficult times.

Lana was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Griffin) McKeehan; father, Cortez Thompson. Lana was also preceded in death by her cousin and close friend, Robert (Bubba) Scott. Lana and Bubba shared a special bond and Bubba lived with the Dixon’s for a period of time.

Lana is survived by her husband, Kerry J. Dixon; children, Falesha Hudson and Amber (Kevin) Harvel;
grandchildren, D. Bryant Ables, Briana Hudson, Dalton Hudson and River Harvel; great grandchildren, Eddie Ables and George Daily IV; siblings, Tawnya (Ron) Johnson, Joe (Karen) Porter; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Thursday, January 18 at Newcomer Funeral Home, N.E., 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where the funeral service will be held following at 7:00pm. Pastor Ken Mosser officiating.
