Richard E Hertenstein, age 83, of Grove City, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2018. Richard better known to his family and friends as Dick was born in Chillicothe, OH.

Dick graduated from Franklin University with an engineering degree and he retired after 41 years from WBNS 10TV. Dick is remembered for enriching the lives of family and friends both here and in Florida. Dick could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He built miniature trains that family and friends had the pleasure of riding in Florida. Dick found joy in entertaining us playing the organ, he enjoyed boating and water skiing, he rebuilt a 1968 Corvette that he took to car shows, he also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. Dick was always busy doing something.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janet Hertenstein, Son, Richard Hertenstein, daughter-in-law, Lori Hertenstein, grandchildren, Samantha, Allie, Sophie, Zack, Amber and other family members. Preceded in death by his parents Earsy and Almeda Hertenstein, brother Elsworth Hertenstein and sister Norma Kirby.

There will be a memorial on March 17, 2018 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
