In Memory Of
Fredrick J. Dill
1926 - 2018
Fred is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Doris P. Dill, his parents, Fred and Maude Dill, his brothers, Melvin and Dean Dill, and his sister Harriett Birtcher.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy Garrett, his sons, Dennis Dill and Donald (Crystal) Dill, grandson, Brian Dill, granddaughters, Tina (Eddie) Soto, Cyndi (Robert) Slingsby, and Chelynn (Archie) Godfrey, and 11 great grandchildren.
Fred has been a faithful and joyful servant of the Lord. He worked and retired from Limbach Company for 40+ years. He enjoyed working on all of his cars and then showing them off! Fun memories of him peeling out of the church parking lot. He would grin from ear to ear! He thrived working around the home that he built in 1953. He was always a helpful hand with Doris in the garden. He was a wonderful storyteller! Often hearing the same stories repeatedly but we all enjoyed the enthusiasm and smiles as he spoke. He loved to travel to Florida in the winters, where he enjoyed spending time on his bicycle and on the pontoon boat at the lake.
He was claimed as a husband, father, uncle, brother, grandpa, and best friend to the many who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed!
Calling hours will be at Gateway Community Church 8794 Big Bear Farm Ave. Powell, Ohio 43065 on Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 4pm-6pm (food will be provided by the family during calling hours).
Funeral service immediately following at 6pm, Reverend Thomas Clark officiating.
Private Entombment ceremony will be at Kingwood Memorial Park 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035 on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 11am.
