Donald Leroy Schaffner
1933 - 2018

Donald L. Schaffner, age 84, of Grove City, OH went to be with Jesus Tuesday morning, June 5, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by family.

He was born in Etna, OH on December 22, 1933 to the late Russell and Ruth Schaffner. After graduating from South High School, he went to work at The Ohio State University, also enrolled in the US Army and served in Korea for 2 years.

He married the love of his life, Marie Ellen Walp on August 22, 1958 for 60 years. Upon retirement, he owned the Central Point Christian Bookstore and the ZMO family business. He was a member of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship and member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship. He loved the Lord, his family and his country.

His love of life and positive attitude allowed him to help others, share a good story and make others laugh. He enjoyed setting up T.R.I.Ps for the church and was an avid Buckeye fan for over 54 years with season tickets.

He will be greatly missed by his wife; sisters, Doris (Ron) Johnson and twin, Donna (Bob) Miller; children, Philip (Valerie), Timothy (Karen) and Ruth Meade; grandchildren, Misty (Kyle) Blumenstock, Megan and Jessica Meade; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Olivia Blumenstock and Kyla Gould; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Friends may call Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4-7PM at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 3005 Holt Rd., Grove City, OH 43123.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 9:30AM at the church.
