In Memory Of
Naomi A. Salisbury
1926 - 2018
Born June 13, 1926 in a farmhouse in Gallia County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Harrison Steger.
Naomi was a homemaker and worked part-time several years in the Lazarus Men’s Department at Westland Mall. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church since 1955.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Harold S. Salisbury, brother Kenneth Steger, and sister Louise Elliott.
She is survived by daughter Karen (Darryl) Cherdron, son Ernest (Judith) Salisbury, grandson Philip (Janine) Cherdron, great-grandchildren David and Elise Cherdron, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
All who knew her knew she loved being with family and friends of which she had many. She also loved birds, roses, beating her friends at Dominoes, cooking and entertaining. She was even featured in an article in a local newspaper regarding her love of entertaining. Her deviled eggs were always a must at family dinners, especially for her grandson, Phil. Naomi loved sitting outside talking with her many good neighbors. She also loved talking on the phone with family and friends, and her daily calls with Betsy Rice. She was always grateful for the care and companionship given to her by good friend Mae Callahan.
