COLUMBUS - Ann Ressler 88 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John; children, John, Cathy, William; grandchildren, John Ressler and Ryan Ressler; sister, Judy (Lee) Schaeffer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a bubbly outgoing personality, a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. She loved to read, play pinochle and attend the Ohio Theatre and Otterbein Playhouse. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jean and Homer Maxwell, sister, Betty Weller and brother, Clark Maxwell.

Ann simply loved and cared about others. She regularly donated to several charities. She requested that donations be made in lieu of flowers to One Love Foundation, PO Box 368, Bronxville NY, 10708, 1-844-832-6158. One Love Foundation works with young people across the country to raise awareness about the warning signs of abuse.

Cremation is being handled by the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. No calling hours to be observed. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Washington Cemetery, Pennsylvania.
