In Memory Of
Daniel J. Harden
1955 - 2018

Daniel James Harden, 63, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. Dan was born April 8, 1955 and resided in Columbus, Ohio his entire life.

Dan was preceded in death by mother, Gale Parkison; step-father, Artie Parkison; father, Donald Harden; and brother, Tracy Parkison.

Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy of 39 years. Dan and Kathy were married on August 4, 1979 when he also lovingly became "Dad" to Frank, Phillip (Shannon) and Thomas (Tiffany) Andrick. They also have one daughter Katie (Keith) Brobst who will always be her Daddy's girl. Dan was best known as Papaw to 9 grandchildren: Phillip, Tyler (Haleigh), Brooke (Zach), Caden, Tessa, Jordan, Peyton, Cailyn and Eli. He also recently took on a new title of great-papaw to Joel. Dan will be truly missed by his sister, Dixie (Steve) Roberts; brother, John (Jessie) Parkison; sisters, Debbie and Becki Harden and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Dan loved cars and spent many weekends at car shows with his cruising friends showing their classics and especially loved Mustangs. He enjoyed old westerns and all kinds of music. Dan's favorite past time was spent with those he loved as master of the grill, playing cards and always with a dog at his side; Cooper will miss his lap and their naps together. Dan was a member of the Moose Lodge #11 where he loved listening to live music. Dan could be found on weekends in the Fall yelling at the TV as he watched his Buckeyes and the Steelers playing football.

Visitation Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7pm at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City OH. To celebrate Dan's life the family encourages friends and family to wear their Ohio State and Steelers gear- exactly how he would want it. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
