Sandy Riley
1960 - 2019

Sandy Riley, 59, passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home after a brave fight with Alzheimer's on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019. Sandy was a loving and beloved wife to Michael Riley. An impeccable mother to Jason (Erica), Keith (Lacey), Mekaela Riley and her partner Curtis Brannan. Sandy was a nurturing Nana to Adilyn, Carter, Oliver Riley and Kyle Krueger. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Jan and Maisie Wawerek. She is the loved sister of John Wawerek, Julie McGuken, and the late Debra Bowers. As well as an amazing Aunt, Great Aunt, and friend.

Sandy exhibited nothing but kindness, empathy, and compassion during her time on earth. She could befriend anyone who crossed her path, and loved each and every one of her friends whole heartedly. Sandy engrained exceptional values into her children and friends alike such as tolerance, understanding, and strength through adversity.

Her commitment to her family showed in the unwavering support she portrayed throughout countless days at the ball park cheering on her sons, the many mom and daughter talks and advice she offered Mekaela, and her blissful, loving devotion to Michael throughout their 35 years of marriage.
Sandy was often described as a walking angel, and her family is comforted knowing that she will still be their angel, only from the skies now.

Sandy's visitation will be Friday, July 19th, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer's Association (Alz.org) are greatly appreciated.
