Donna Faye Lower
1940 - 2019

Donna Faye Lower (Meade), 79, of Grove City Ohio, was called home on November 07, 2019.

Born September 21, 1940 in Logan, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Meade and Della Meade (Anderson).

Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Leroy Lower (Jack). She is survived by one son, Timothy Dale Lower; her three daughters; Robyn Michelle Lower, Melody Gail Huffman and husband Lonnie Alan Huffman, Valerie Ann Patton and husband Joe Patton; proceeded in death by three brothers; Paul Meade, Frank Meade, Edward Meade; survived by one brother; Charles Meade, three sisters; Velma Ramey, Betty Anderson, Wanda Bush; six grandchildren; Joshua Steven Johnson, Jazmine Jo Patton, Zachary Lewis Johnson, Nanaessa Ann Huffman, Victoria Faye Patton and Natasha Michelle Huffman.

Donna was a creative, energetic and passionate person who would do anything for her family. She loved writing and telling stories, reading, gardening and committing herself to arts and crafts projects. Throughout her life, she worked to provide laughter and fun wherever she went, whether by dancing to Elvis while dressed in costume, or by telling an elaborate story like the time she took down a black bear in West Virginia with a glass bottle of Coke. Donna was strong and driven to succeed in order to provide for her family, having proudly worked as the first female corrections officer at the Orient Corrections Facility. Her strength, ambition and determination were obvious to all who knew her, but she remained humble and willing to support her friends and family whenever needed. She remained closely connected to God throughout her life and is well known for having multiple copies of the Bible with handwritten inscriptions in the margins. Donna lived for her four children and her six grandchildren, hosting a number of holiday festivities in her home in Grove City that involved her Southern cooking with copious amounts of butter and lots of love. Everyone truly misses her fried chicken, her laugh and her unmistakable sass. We all love and miss you very much. Until we meet again.

Services are private and will be provided by Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Immediate family please contact Joe Patton @ (614) 381-1253 for information on post services ceremony.
