Carla Ann Valentine
1948 - 2019

Carla Ann Valentine, 71, entered the gates of heaven Friday, November 29, 2019 surrounded by family in the peace and comfort of her home in Grove City. Carla was born March 5, 1948 in Waterbury, CT., the daughter of adoring parents, the late Francis Dennis and Anna Rita (Tornatore) Maher.

Carla touched so many lives throughout her time on this earth, always taking the time to make sure each person in her life felt special. She loved nothing more than spreading joy, her love, laughter, and cooking food for her friends and family. She knew few strangers as she loved with all her heart.

Carla is survived by her rock, her love, her superman, and husband of 52 ½ years, James Valentine; sons, Jim (Regina) Valentine Jr. of Grove City, Ken (Melissa) of Westerville; daughter, Tracey Stephenson of Dayton; sisters, Christina Brown of New Hampshire, Mary (Bob) Piel of Connecticut; brother, Gregory (Patti) Maher of Connecticut; grandchildren, Steven, Ariel, Devon, Marc, Tabatha, Trevor, Rachel, Francis; great granddaughter Brailey; 4 nieces, a nephew, and a slew of cousins and other family members, too many to mention.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10:00 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway Grove City, with visitation one hour prior to services. A private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carla’s memory to LiveStrong program at the Grove City YMCA, 3600 Discovery Dr. Grove City, OH 43123.
