In Memory Of
John D. Davis Jr.
1945 - 2020

John Dumont Davis Jr., age 74, passed away January 16, 2020 after a tenacious battle with illness.

He was born on August 27, 1945 in Gary, IN to the late John and Margret Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Davis, parents John and Margret Davis, sister Debbie (Richard) Erwin, and step-daughter Cammi (Mark) Chamberlain. He is survived by his son and best friend John (Josalyn) Davis, brother Rick (Karen) Davis, step-daughter Nicki (Dusty) Hogston, grandsons Johnny and Jenner Davis, as well as his nieces and nephews.
John loved music, baseball, history, astrology, and fishing with his son and close friend Mike. He was blessed with several amazing friendships, many of which go all the way back to his childhood days. His oldest friends describe him as "the King of funny", "a hoot", and "one in a zillion". His greatest joy in life was spending time with his son and watching his grandsons grow. Whether it be fishing with John, teaching Johnny US geography at 5, or giving the boys a hot wheel every time he saw them, time with his family is what made him happiest. He loved and was loved fiercely and will be deeply missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on February 1, 2020 from 4-6 pm at Newcomer Southwest Chapel 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123
