Samuel E. Gabriel Sr. passed away on January 16, 2020. He was the beloved son of Samuel and Violet (Kunkle) Gabriel, born on October 9, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio.

Sam was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School and devoted his life to his children and family. He took over Sam’s Equipment Rental that his Father started in 1955 until retiring.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents and his Brother-In-Law Victor, Casasanta. He is survived by his children, Samuel (Valerie) Gabriel, Scott Gabriel and Tia (Jay) Jude; step-children, Jeff Clyne, Tim Clyne, Jeremy Holbrook; his siblings, Linda (Edward) Wilburn, Gary (Betty) Gabriel and Sandra Casasanta; his grandchildren, Chase (Codi) Gabriel, Dylan Gabriel, Ciera (Arie) Watson, Hannah (Weston) Vest, Haley Gabriel, Elliott Gabriel, Seth Hardin, Jordyn (Brandonn) Bussey, Cheyann (Austin) Hakkarainen, Matthew Jude, Jaylin Jude, Julian Jude, Jillian Jude, Jocelyn Jude, James Jude, Jadyn Jude, Josiah Jude; his great grandchildren Jensen, Easton, Sawyer, Xander, Stone, Hadley, Bexley, Waylonn, Bryce, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may visit from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
