She was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 4, 1956.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Balzano Colby; sister, Stefanie Shoen; nephews, Ray Shoen, Kevin Seymour; brother in law, Dennis Hoover; uncle, Robert Balzano.

She is survived by her children, Dustin (Tammy) Koan, Traci Koan, Mathew (Jennifer) Koan; grandchildren, Kaylea (Jacob) George, Joshua Goad, Kenyon Morrison, Madison Koan, Caden Wood, Gabby Wood; great grandchildren, Ethan, Terralyn, Elliot; sisters, Christine Hoover, Kathy (Billy) Dempsey-Stanley, Teresa Colby, Cherie (Frank) Colby-Kip; brothers, Ronald (Debbi) Colby, Randall (Dawn) Colby; Aunt Norma (Hayden) Chapman; multiple nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations may be made to Dustin Koan to assist with expenses.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 4:00 -7:00pm, where funeral services will then be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
