In Memory Of
Charles Alan "Chuck" Suchland
1951 - 2020
Chuck was born on May 3, 1951 in Celina, Ohio to the late Earl and Mildred (Fulk) Suchland. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Earl (Sonny) Suchland Jr. and Kenton Suchland. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 14 years Vickie (Maharg) Suchland; his sons Brian Suchland (Amanda Myers), Eric Suchland (Krista Lusk), Aaron Wright, daughter Amber Wright and his two granddaughters Ella Snyder and Emma Lusk.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a retired Tool & Die Maker. He spent the majority of his career at General Dynamic’s Lima Army Tank Plant, International Harvester and Minster Machine.
Chuck was an active member of the American Legion (New Bremen Post 241). He enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Cleveland Browns, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his two dogs; Lady and Cosmo. He was often found working on his computer.
He also had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, whom loved telling stories of his catches. He was proud of his achievements at the gun range. Chuck enjoyed “hamfest” conventions with his fellow amateur radio operators. His call sign, WD8PEI now “becomes a silent key”.
A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, July 11th from 11 am - 1pm at Newcomer Northwest Chapel 10051 Brewster Lane Powell, OH 43065.
