Charles Jensen
1949 - 2020

Charles Arthur Jensen, known by most as Chuck, had a very humorous outlook on life. Charles passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020. He had the best sense of humor, and brought joy and laughter to the lives of many. He had such a big heart and cared for so many. He was the kind of person who enjoyed being there for others, and liked just being around other people. He had an energy about him that many couldn't help gravitating to. There was no one that Chuck couldn't make friends with. It didn't matter anyone's background, their beliefs, their orientation, their skin color, or their past. He could make friends with anyone; he didn’t meet a person that didn't love him.

Chuck was born on August 15th of 1949 in Streeter Illinois. He grew up in Florida, and lived in Canada for a time, before finally settling in Detroit and starting his family. He is the father of four: Steve Jensen, Jason Jensen, Kelli Jensen (Naranjo), and Jada Jensen. In 2007 he moved to Columbus, Ohio with his wife and daughters and remained there for the rest of his life.
Chuck was a jack of all trades. He was good at so many things, including computer work, maintenance, fixing cars, and making people laugh. He worked many jobs over the years, mostly fixing things and helping other people in all of the ways he knew how. He also served in the Army for a time, going to jump school and becoming a part of the 82nd Airborne division. There wasn't much he couldn't do, and if he didn't know how to do something he would figure it out.

Chuck spent most of his time in the garage, working on projects or just watching TV on the small television set he kept out there. Coffee was another of his great loves, and I hardly ever saw him without a cup. He frequented Tim Hortons so much that they knew his order before he could even tell it. He made friends there too, just as he did everywhere he went. He always had a passion for cars and was exceptional at repairing them, and figuring out any unconventional way he could to fix the problems that no one else could seem to figure out. He had such a vast knowledge on the inner workings of different vehicles. He loved riding his motorcycles when he was younger, and even built one himself at a time. He did the same with computers, learning the technology quickly, and eventually building a computer of his own.

There are so many great memories about Chuck. Most of them are funny, but there are plenty that are heartwarming as well. One of my favorite things that he always said was, "you bet".
