In Memory Of
Roger Medley
1949 - 2020

Roger Lynn Medley, 71, was born July 6, 1949 to Herman B. and Doris J. Medley and passed away September 17, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio.

Roger is survived by his children Keith (Sherry) Medley, Jeff (Jennifer) Medley and Katie (Jeremiah) Hughes and 10 grandchildren Faith, Max, Mark, Lauren, Justin, Becca, Adam, Dylan, Ian, Dan and one great grandchild, Jaxon.

Roger was a proud grandfather and enjoyed sharing stories of all of them. Among his other interests were watching the Wizard of Oz and playing hours, if not days, of Monopoly and cards with his friends and family. Roger loved and always spoke of his large family, including his brothers and his sister, and how they were a constant joy and love in his life.

If you knew Roger, then you know he had friends everywhere he went and enjoyed conversing with everyone he met along the way. You were just a better person by knowing Roger. When informing people of Roger’s passing, one word was repeatedly used to describe him, kind. Roger was kind to everyone he met and would not think twice about helping how he could all while having a laugh along the way. His family and friends believe that it is an understatement to say that the world is better because Roger was here.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Church Residence or Canal Winchester Human Services.

Please join the family for visitation at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City on September 24, 2020 from 5pm-8pm. Due to current events, Roger will be laid to rest at a later date with a ceremony, possible next summer.
