In Memory Of
Marjorie Ann "Marge" Thomas
1926 - 2021
She was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary’s high school in Marion. After high school she attended Bliss College, in Columbus to study secretarial procedure. She met her husband and started a family. They had two boys. She worked at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Grove City where the boys went to elementary school. When the boys moved on to high school , she went to work at Schumans’s Meat store. There she found another family. Owner John Schuman , store manager Bob, co-workers Dick, Tina and Pam all took great care of her. During her long life, she enjoyed many holidays and celebrations with her sons and their families. She also loved seeing her siblings and their families at the occasional family reunions. Marjorie stayed involved with the church her whole life. Eventually age prevented her from going to services. She watched mass and the stations of the cross broadcast on the Catholic channel, and always mailed her tithing into Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She also enjoyed watching a variety of sports. NASCAR and OSU football were among her favorites.
Marjorie always saw the best in everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose life she touched .
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Don (Debbie) Thomas; siblings, Jean Johnson, Don (Rita) Sherer, Kathleen Malo, Mike (Karen) Sherer; grandchildren, Steven Thomas, Sandra Thomas, Jody Buzzard; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kristen, Tyler, Chloe, Nikki; also numerous nieces and nephews. Marge was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Thomas; sister, Arlene Sherer; brother-in-laws, John Johnson and Tom Malo.
The family will receive guests on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 2-4:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
