Carol Sue Gray, age 68, was reunited after a brief separation with her beloved husband on March 4, 2021. She was born on July 22, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Wilma and Garland Lanthron.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bob Gray; granddaughter, Selah Paige; sisters, Sandy Howard, Nancy Lanthron and Vickie Hartman. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sarah (Dan) Wharton, Courtney (Andrew) Allton and Toby Gray; siblings, Wayne Lanthron, Mike Lanthron, Terry (John) French, Patty Likens and Jeff Lanthron; brothers-in-law, Keith Howard and Ed Hartman; grandchildren, Everly, Kaylee, Cooper and Adler; many close friends and other relatives.
Carol was a woman of God and was a devoted member and Elder of Gateway Church in Grove City. She had a very generous heart and was "second Mom and Grandmother" to many. Carol cherished the time she got to spend with her family. She absolutely adored children whether they were related to her or not and was known as the "baby whisperer." As a mom, she was a great listener and advice giver. As a grandma, she was nurturing, sweet and always had a song in her heart. As a sister, she was the family matriarch and the glue that held everyone together. Even though we miss her greatly, it brings us peace knowing she is with Dad again.
Per her wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
