Chafe “Tim” Gordon III, 72, of Columbus, passed away April 14, 2021. Tim was born December 15, 1948 in Princeton, WV to Chafe Jr. and Blanche (Harriston) Gordon.

He was a devoted father and husband. Tim was loved by everyone who knew him, he never knew a stranger and could make everyone around him smile. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to Motown music, camping, fishing and bowling. He worked at the Mt. Carmel Health System for over 40 years.

Tim will be deeply missed by his wife Rise (Shaffer) Gordon of 42 years; children Chafe Taylor Gordon IV, Robert Stacy Gordon; grandchildren Chafe Taylor Gordon V, Rowan Isley Gordon; sisters Nicole Gordon, Felicia Gordon along with many other family, friends and brothers in arms.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and sister Martha Gordon.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 10am until the time of service at 11am at Faith Bible Church 12239 Morse Rd. Pataskala, OH 43062. Burial will be at Jersey Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
