She was raised in Ashville, North Carolina and moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where she met and married the love of her life, Elder Billy S. Williams in 1950 and their union blessed them with five children. They eventually settled in Columbus, Ohio. where they opened their own church, Williams Temple (New Heaven).
Viola was employed with The Ohio State University Hospital, JCPenney’s, Big Bear, Buckeye Federal Savings & Loans and Watkins & Perry Transportation.
Viola leaves to cherish her memory to her daughters: Doris (Edward) Bullock and Leticia (Sebastian) Jenkins; Sons: Daniel (Simone) Williams, Charles (Robin) Williams and Mark (Regine) Williams; Brother Romie (Barbara Jeanne) Watkins; Grandchildren: Brian Perkins, Candice Perkins, Daniel (Clover) Williams, Tamika Walker, Derek Josey, Jayson (Danielle) Williams, Anthony (Corryn) Williams, Russell Williams, Donovan (Erika) Dula, Robert Matlock, Angelique Williams, Ashley Walker and Jarren Williams; Great Grandchildren: Kendra Fernandez, McKenzie & John Williams, Elijah, Heaven, Kharley & Kulture Williams, Kiara Saunders and Isaac Williams; Great-Great Grandchild Alyssa Fernandez. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Viewing will be held from 10am to 12pm (masks required) at New Mt. Sinai Church, 4345 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224, where a funeral service will be held at 12pm (family only).
Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg, OH.
