1948 - 2021

Lucille (Brewer) Hackney 73 of Grove City, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Oct.15, 2021, at her residence, after a battle with heart disease and cancer. Lucille was born on July 25, 1948 in Kermit, WV to the late Roy H. Brewer and Minerva (Marcum) Brewer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Grace Johnson of Columbus, OH, Deloris Williamson of Grove City, OH and Nellie Clark of Fort Gay, WV; 4 brothers , Sanford Brewer of Hatfield, KY, Charles E. Brewer of Logan, OH, Roy G. Brewer of Kermit, WV, and infant brother William Brewer.

Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Ralph L. Hackney of Grove City, OH, formerly of Blaine, KY; 3 sisters, Anna Mae Sartin Wellman of Kermit, WV, Ruth (Gene) Marlow of New Braunfels, TX, Donita Brewer of Columbus, OH. 3 brothers Dewey Brewer of Atwater, OH, Euell Brewer of Columbus, OH, and Emory Brewer of Amherstdale, OH. She is also survived by special friend of 53 years, Grace Bollinger of Grove City, OH a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many other dear friends.

Lucille was still actively employed at Columbus Instruments, 950 N. Hague Ave, where she enjoyed going to work every day until the sickness overtook her in August.

She was a very generous and a direct, matter of fact person. She told it like it was. She was loved by everyone who met her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
